How Arkonno Was Born

Arkonno started with our own son. We’ve been traveling together since he was eight months old, and for the first few years, a regular stroller worked just fine.

Then he turned three. He decided he was a big boy who didn’t need a stroller anymore — even though he still couldn’t walk long distances, still needed his daytime nap, and had simply outgrown what a standard stroller could hold, both in size and weight limit. More often than not, we ended up carrying him ourselves.

We didn’t want that to mean the end of exploring the world together. So we built something better: a stroller wagon that’s more fun for him to ride in, comfortable enough to sit, nap, or fully stretch out and sleep in, and built with a higher weight limit so it keeps up as kids grow. It’s spacious enough for two children, though even with just our one son, we still bring it everywhere — there’s always room left over for everything else we need to carry.

It’s become our go-to for busy, crowded places, for days too hot or too rainy for a long walk, and for trips where we’re hauling a lot of gear, like the beach or a shopping run. We’ve flown with it — airlines like Ryanair accept it as a stroller free of charge, and airports treat it as odd-size baggage. We’ve also driven with it across Europe, fitting it into cars as compact as a VW Golf, Renault Mégane, Dacia Logan, or Ford Mondeo, on trips through Italy, France, Hungary, the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark.

Arkonno exists because we wanted a way to keep exploring with our son, without leaving anything — or anyone — behind. We hope it does the same for your family.
